Some of the diabetes symptoms are high blood pressure, high glucose levels, frequent urination, and fatique.

Diabetes symptoms can be controlled by diet and exercise. That's easy to say and very difficult to do. To me "diet" is a dirty little four letter word. And exercise? Let's not even go there! On second thought, we need to "go there". The alternatives are nasty.

How do you change your diet to make you feel better and control your diabetes? Switch to high fiber foods. Keep processed food out of your mouth. If you can't do that, then kidney dialysis and amputation are probably on the horizon. Or heart attack. Or stroke. Or even blindness.

People with diabetes have a higher risk of heart attack and stroke. Control your sodium intake to lower your blood pressure.

Are you a junk food junkie? Then take a tip from A.A. Live one day at a time. Plan your healthy food so you have something to eat at all times. Don't do hunger! You'll fall off the high fiber low salt wagon.

And another thing, if you are inactive, get moving. Do it slowly. You didn't get diabetes overnight so it's going to take a while to control it.

If you have any questions (I've probably read about it and can refer you to the answer), you are encouraged to contact me here.
